Accessing remote data


In the web world, security is an important thing. To make the web a safer place, web browsers do everything within their power to prevent Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities. As part of this work, browsers limit content so that it can only be retrieved from the same domain. To access data outside of that domain, a proxy must be set up on the original domain that can forward requests to trusted sources.

Since OSCAR-js uses OpenLayers, we defer to their proxy configuration. Please read the following article on how you can point to your proxy of choice.
